Megan Fox: Thumbs ??
Chaos, panic, and mayhem erupted “Super Bowl” Sunday, not because of the Saint’s victory, but something much, much more shocking …
Megan Fox, beloved vixen, suffers from Brachydactyly!!!
(sarcasm)
Now, before the collective male species begins doubting life, let’s go over this medical “condition,” and explain why everything is okay.
So, what is Brachydactyly, and how did the world discover Fox suffers from this ailment?
Well, Brachydactyly simply means a shortness of digits (ie: finger and/or toe bones). In Megan’s case, she has shortened thumbs (dun, dun, dunnn). The condition often creates a short, widened appearance in digits and the accompanying nail. Brachydactyly usually goes unnoticed in childhood, but becomes more apparent as individuals grow and mature. The condition is genetic, varies in severity, and affects roughly 1 in every 1,000 individuals. In the case of Brachydactyly in finger bones, corrective surgery is only necessary if the thumb cannot touch and apply pressure (or pinch) each finger on the respective hand (every person reading the blog just tried this). Since Fox has a very slight case, which does not appear to alter her dexterity … I’m sure she’s fine.
So, what does this condition look like (on Megan Fox) ? Well, before divulging any sort of image, I want to throw out a quick disclaimer regarding the situation. Since I’m entering the medical profession (I’m a medical student for those of you who didn’t know), I really don’t want to trivialize or humiliate a person suffering from any type of medical condition. The point of this story is not to exploit Megan Fox, or to disregard a medical ailment, I’m simply attempting to clear up some misconceptions regarding the situation, and minimize the frenzy and outrageous claims made towards the condition and/or Fox. This story created such an explosion, I feel it is appropriate to cover it from a neutral, scientific point of view, and help clarify, educate, and avoid pouring more gasoline on a media firestorm. So, with that said …
Probably not what you expected, right? As you can see, the issue is quite overblown, and I hope Fox understands this (yes, I know she’s probably doing just fine). So, how did something so trivial even garner such public attention?
Well, apparently, Fox appeared in a Motorolla commercial during the highly watched (it broke records) Super Bowl this past Sunday. In the commercial, Megan is featured, presumably, nude in a tub using some Motorolla phone, and during the course of the commercial, the camera zooms in and focuses on the phone and Fox’s hand. However, this wasn’t Megan’s real hand. Megan enlisted the services of a “hand double,” and when this story spread, older, less publicized reports of Fox’s Brachydactyly came to light, and everything kind of spiraled out of control from there.
So there you go … Megan Fox, Brachydactyly, and a simple explanation of why she is still the most desirable woman in the world (it’s okay guys … it’s okay).

Hi Laura, can you tell me what you did to subscribe, and what emails you are receiving? According to WordPress, unless you sign up with RSS, you are not supposed to receive emails about new posts. I tried to unsubscribe you myself, and I can’t seem to do it at the moment. This could be a problem with WordPress. Let me know how you subscribed and I will see what I can do. If not, I’ll send a message to WordPress support tonight. I’m really sorry about the issues, and I really appreciate you reading the blog. Definitely let me know what the emails say. Thanks

Hi Laura,
I looked into it more (wrote a response to your comment just a little while ago) and it looks like to unsubscribe, you need to go into your dashboard, go to subscriptions, and click to unsubscribe from the blog. I’m not sure if this is what you did/why it isn’t working. Again though, let me know what emails you’re receiving, because I want to make sure they are for the blog and not spam or anything. Thanks again.
